Role

Athletic Board, a subcommittee under the leadership of Admin/Finance of Parish Council, is a leadership group of parish members, chosen from and by the parish community.  

The Athletic Board Committee Guidelines outline
the authority and relationship, purpose and aim, functions and
responsibilities, subcommittees, membership, terms, meetings
and officer requirements.
 

Responsibility

The primary responsibilities of athletic board are to:
*  Formulate polices concerning parish sporting activities
*  Set goals for the parish
*  Promote full and inclusive participation of the whole parish community
*  Ensure that resources are allocated responsibly to further the parish
    mission.
Athletic Board reports to Admin/Finance of Parish Council and is governed by a constitution and bylaws following the norms outlined by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Membership

Athletic Board members are discerned from among parish membership and serve three year terms. The board consists of nine members at large, plus the parish priest(s), Youth Child Ministry Director and School Principal.

Minutes

Athletic Board meeting minutes are approved by members via email and posted to the website.

Athletic information specific to SJV Shamrock's volleyball, basketball, track, tennis, Catholic Youth Ministry and golf teams are available on the Parish home page under the Athletics tab.
