Role
Christian Formation is a leadership group of parish members, chosen through discernment, who together with the pastor guide the direction of Christian Formation for adults, teens and parish youth.
Christian Formation is a consultative body commissioned to provide counsel. The focus of Christian Formation is on mission, not management.
Responsibility
The primary responsibilities of Christian Formation members are to:
* Act as the stewards of the parish mission statement
* Engage in a continuous process of planning
* Promote full and inclusive participation of the whole parish community
The Christian Formation is governed by bylaws following the norms outlined by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Membership
Christian Formation members are discerned from among parish membership and serve three year terms. The committee consists of nine members at large and two youth representatives, plus the parish priest(s).
