Saint John Vianney Catholic Church

Coins for Babies

Return bottles October 15/16
Please bring your bottles and donations to Mass or use the new Online Giving to make your gift.

Checks should be made payable to Saint John Vianney and will be acknowledged in your annual SJV statement.

During the first weekend of October baby bottles were distributed for the annual COINS FOR BABIES fundraiser to benefit equally Milwaukee Birthright, Women’s Support Center of  Milwaukee and Fran O’Meara Pregnancy Helpline.

All of these agencies provide various help and resources to women in crisis pregnancies to enable them to give birth to their child and avoid the tragedy of abortion and lifetime of regret.

Most of these agencies provide
extensive assistance to the mother and child long after birth.

Please take a bottle, keep it in your home for two weeks and
return it with your donation on the weekend of October 15/16
.

The Coins for Babies fundraiser is an activity of St. John Vianney's Respect Life Committee.

Respect Life Committee is a ministry under Human Concerns. Respect Life is a leadership group of parish members who, together with the pastor, explore issues around the sanctity of life, and then to help educate the parish, holding special events from time to time as needed.

New members are always welcome to join this committee, contact Maria Schloemer at 272-717-9626.

Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.

Where are your Coins Going?

The following organizations will be receiving your donations to Coins for Babies:

Fran O’Meara Pregnancy Helpline—The Helpline talks with women who have learned they are pregnant and are examining their options. They answer questions about abortion procedures, the physical and psychological effects of an abortion decision, fetal development, and availability of community resources.

O’Meara Life Resources has an Emergency Fund to help women desperate to change their situation, offering help with eviction, emergency food, utility bills, and baby items.

Birthright—Birthright is an interfaith, inter-racial organization founded in 1971 on the principle that it is the right of every pregnant woman, regardless of her age, to give birth and the right of every child to be born. Birthright provides information
necessary for women involved in problem pregnancies to make enlightened, knowledgeable decisions about their futures and the futures of their unborn children.

Women’s Support Centers of Milwaukee—WSC provides support, counseling and education for women and men to make an informed decision concerning the life of their unborn child.
They provide support, counseling, and education for the public in the areas of chastity, abstinence, natural family planning, and marriage. WSC also provides support, counseling and education
for those who have been impacted by an abortion. All services are consistent with the Roman Catholic teaching of human life and
sexuality.

Donations may also be turned in at the Parish Office. Please make checks payable to SJV.
