Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Would you like to be an EM?
The next training will be held Tuesday, August 23 at 7pm.

In every celebration of the Eucharist, there should be a sufficient number of ministers of Holy Communion so that it may be distributed in a reverent and orderly manner.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion receive sufficient spiritual, theological, and practical preparation to fulfill their role with knowledge and reverence.

Parish members at St. John Vianney are invited to become "EM's". Notice of quarterly trainings are announced in the eBulletin, printed bulletin and website.

And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."         Luke 22:18-20
