Reverse Collections

Parish members and guests have a frequent opportunity to restock area church food pantries.
Reverse Collection - Coupons
are distributed at Masses one weekend. These coupons list 3-4 items that are frequently needed at the food pantry. Parish members are asked to purchase those items and bring them to church the following weekend.
The pantry is in current need of: sugar, complete pancake mix, kids cereal (sugary type kids like), toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, shampoo, 1# coffee cans, laundry detergent and crackers. (updated March 2011).
The parish St. Vincent de Paul Society handles the coordination of food and other donations.
Donated food is given to the food pantry at our twinning parish, Prince of Peace, which is located at 25th & Scott Streets on Milwaukee’s south side and St. Joseph’s parish pantry in Waukesha. These food pantries serve approximately 40 families each week.

Members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society invite you to share in their ministry of experiencing God in the poor.
Holy Scripture tells us "The Word became flesh and lived among us, and we saw his glory, the glory that is His as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14)

Can't contribute Food?
Consider a monetary contribution to the St. Vincent de Paul boxes located in the Narthex.
These contributions allow our conference to aid in many other ways, such as rent and utilities. Thank you for your extreme generosity and support of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in your efforts to help those less fortunate. |
