Saint John Vianney Catholic Church

Revised Roman Missal

Some of the words said during Mass have been translated once again from the original Latin, with an eye toward being more faithful to the Latin text than to the way it might be paraphrased in English.

The translation of the 3rd edition of the Roman Missal since Vatican II provides us with a better translation in many ways and serves to emphasize the real meaning of what is going on at Mass even more carefully.

The changes will be implemented on Sunday, November 27, 2011 the first weekend of Advent.

These changes do make sense and in
the end, after you read the book, you will come to see the beauty of the new Roman Missal.
