Saint John Vianney Catholic Church
Parish Leadership Committee Nominations

This Weekend! Mar 17/18

In September 2010 a new discernment process was adopted for Parish Committees and Parish Council at St. John Vianney.

Committee members continue to be discerned from the Parish at large, and Parish Council members are discerned from active members of one of the Parish’s six Standing Committees.

Nominees to the six Standing Committees will be invited to the April Common Leadership Night and have an opportunity to meet with the committees.

What happens after nomination?

Individuals who have been nominated for a leadership committee will be contacted by a member of Parish Council or an appointee of the committee.

Nominees are invited to learn more about the committee and read past meeting notes from the committee web page.

Interested individuals are invited to attend the April Common Leadership Night to meet with members of their respective committee.

Parish members are invited to share their time, talents and expertise through leadership committees.  The working leadership committees meet at least six Monday nights each year (Common Leadership Nights) as well as other times as needed.

Terms for leadership committees are traditionally three years.

Nomination Weekend provides an opportunity for parish members to nominate themself or someone they feel have the essential characteristics for the six Standing Committees.  Nomination forms, also available in the pew, will be collected at Mass.
