Pilgrimage in Place ... Opening the Invitation

A pilgrimage is a big deal! We never enter into it lightly, for we know we will be venturing on unknown ground. We will, in effect, be surrendering to God’s purposes for us. It’s a risk, but one with the potential for great benefit. Our Lenten Pilgrimage in Place will help us to do this.
Here are some of the features of this new offering:
* A daily email journal-prompt that will stimulate our reflection and (hopefully) some journaling (print version available).
* A weekly opportunity to gather with others to share and to refine our own ideas (Tuesdays @ 7 PM, February 23-March 23). (This can also be done online or with a friend or two.)
* A facilitated process of writing our own "This I Believe essay" that grows from the realizations of our reflecting, journaling and sharing.
* A one-day intensive experience at St. Francis Seminary in Milwaukee on Saturday, April 17.
* A follow-up session on April 27 at 7 PM at SJV.
For those who cannot do the weekly sessions (or only some of them), you can participate online through our parish website.
The intensive day is highly desirable, but not required to benefit from this experience. Whatever you can put in will give you back in proportion. It’s worth it no matter what. To sign up for any of the above opportunities, contact the Christian Formation Office at 262-796-3944 or e-mail Polly at pollys@stjohnv.org. You can also register online through our website: www.stjohnv.org (click on the Pilgrimage in Place). The cost of the process is $30, and for those who attend the Saturday at the Seminary, a free-will offering to cover expenses.
