Help raise awareness for the activities of this great group.  Join cancer survivors and their families at this family friendly event where volunteers help with various activities including luminaries, registration, games (Friday), or clean-up (Saturday). 

Teens very welcome.  No limit to the number of volunteers, and volunteers are also welcome to put together a participating relay team!

Reading Day for Kids - August 3

Kids in the inner city need reading help and attention.  This event pairs volunteers from the suburbs with kids from the city for reading, then snacks and a tour of the facility (time permitting).  Open to adults and kids with a parent.  Limit of 20 people.

The Gathering - Meal Site - August 5

Come help prepare and serve a meal to the homeless at this community meal program.  Open to 4-5 people, ages 14 and up.  There will be a carpool leaving from St. John Vianney.

St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program - August 10

St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program
10th & Madison Site, Milwaukee

Serve beverages and/or food to guests, then join them for dinner and conversation.  This program is open to any ages as long as parents supervise their children. We begin with prayer at 5 p.m.  Limit of 12.

Hunger Task Force - August 11

Food sorting is fun and fast-paced and one of the most popular activities. Each year, over 2000 people help sort about 1 ½ million pounds of food. During our three hours together, we'll stack and sort food, make boxes and check for expired and damaged food.  Please wear closed-toe sturdy shoes. Up to 30 volunteers are needed, ages 12 and up
