Be in a Renew group for one season or for years. It's up to you.
St. John Vianney has all kinds of groups, some of them open to new members. We are always looking to form new groups so that you have the best chance of finding a group that fits your needs.
What is Renew?
Renew is an opportunity to meet with fellow parish members with similar interests to share your faith, learn more about a topic and develop fellowship/relationships to last a lifetime.
Why not make the effort and be apart of a group this Lent?
It's a good way to be faithful to your good intentions, find inspiration and support and have some fun!
What kinds of Renew groups have formed already?
Renew groups are made up of men only, women only, moms, couples, married couples with children, retirees, - groups form based on needs. If you'd like to start a new group, we'd love to help you market to get new members.
How do I lead a group? What do I have to do?
Being a Renew leader is easy ... some groups decide ahead to read and review a book together. Most groups rotate having a leader for the week, a member who reads the material and leads discussions within the group. It's okay to not have all the answers! Our faith journeys are meant to encourage us to ask questions of who?, what?, when? and why?.

Most of Renew groups meet for six weeks in Lent and in the fall for about 1 1/2 hours each week. The groups are focused on a book that both inspires and aids in the process.
Not only does this format help you to learn and grow in a disciplined way, but it helps you make new friends and connect more deeply with your parish community.
This Lent, we are recommending a focus on the Spirituality and Practice of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The Vincentians are very impressive in the way they live their faith by serving the poor, always, together, and always in prayer.
