Ronald McDonald House Brunch

SJV serves a Sunday Brunch to the families at the Ronald McDonald House once a month on a Sunday.
In 2012, our dates are Sundays, February 12th, March 18th, April 15th, May 20th, June 10th, July 22nd, August 12th, September 16th, October 14th, November 11th and December 9th.
Parishioners provide a food item on a regular basis. Food is dropped off at SJV before each brunch (does not need to be hot and ready to serve).
Items needed include: fresh eggs to scramble, pre-cooked sausages, cooked bacon, ham & rolls, fresh fruit, juice, breakfast pastries, desserts, etc.
Many guests stay at the house for weeks at a time. Our home-cooked meal gives them an appreciated break from the hospital cafeteria or fast food.

The guests at the House, who have children who are hospitalized nearby, are really appreciative of a home-cooked meal—they continually are thanking us, telling volunteers how grateful they are for our delicious breakfasts.

How we make a difference...
The faithful group of St. John Vianney’s parishioners who put together and serve a brunch monthly at Ronald McDonald House fed about 500 people in 2011.
Adding that with 2009 and 2010's numbers of almost feeding 600, that’s 1600 people enjoying a hot, delicious breakfast and warm fellowship from SJV!!!!
