Email this page Print page	SJV School Student Service Projects Reaching out within our community through service projects allow students to apply lessons learned in the classroom to real-life situations and experiences.  Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-36 'for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me.' Monthly Projects Opportunities for faculty and students to respond to the needs of less fortunate people and to internalize our call to be good stewards of God's creation are imperative to fulfilling our mission to God.  The following school-wide service projects are led by the named grade levels to continue our mission: October All Halloween Candy Collection for Prince of Peace November 3rd Grade Coats for Kids Collection 8th Grade St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive December k5 Christmas gifts for children All Grades Various "Adopt a Family" programs to provide, clothing, toys and food gift certificates for the holiday season January Library Book Drive for Prince of Peace and Next Door Foundation February 4th Grade Lenten parish/school project (Operation Rice Bowl) March k5 Easter Baskets for Hope House 2nd Grade Can Collection with proceeds benefiting Make A Wish Foundation May/June 5th Grade End of the year usable school supplies collection for Prince of Peace Ongoing Throughout the Year 1st Grade Special Projects as current needs are realized  4F  Assist the members of Christ Child Second Saturday Program Middle School Clean cafeteria (tables and floors) each day after lunch Middle School St. Ben's Meal Program helpers All Collect pop tops for Ronald McDonald House Collect Campbell's Soup labels for Prince of Peace
