Track Registration Information

Parish youth members in grades 5-8 are invited to join the
St. John Vianney Shamrocks Track team!

Completed forms and $35 nonrefundable participant fee ($60 if after February 15, no exceptions) and $25 uniform deposit are due to the parish or school office by February 15, 2008.  Please make check payable to SJV Athletics.

Note: Athletes will not be allowed to participate in any practices until all forms are totally complete, including Physical Exam Form.

Parent / Guardian Meeting

The parent information meeting will be held on Tuesday in the Cafeteria @ 6:30 p.m. Parents/Guardians new to the program are encouraged to attend.

Practices
Typically, practices will start at the end of April. Practices are twice a week either in the SJV gymnasium or Brookfield Central High School track.  In 2008, practices were held Mondays 5 - 7:30 p.m. and Thursdays 5:30 - 7 p.m.

Uniforms

Uniforms are distributed during the week of team splits. At the end of the season, uniforms are collected. Families are contacted if the uniform has not been returned or is returned in a damaged condition.

Volunteer Opportunities

The SJV athletic program is run entirely by volunteers. Your help is greatly needed! All families, excluding the coaching staff, are required to assist at one meet per child registered in track.  Please check an area of interest under the volunteer section on the registration form.

There are also a number of student coaches that are a tremendous asset to the program.  Emily Liewen, Lily Sandstrom, and Tom DuBois, Annie Evanich, Elizabeth Stief, and Sean Drea have volunteered to assist with the 5th Grade girls team and Shot Put/Discus.
