Saint John Vianney Catholic Church

Gifts of time, talent and treasure

Hear moving testimony from "Mary" a parish member who shares her witness to trusting God during a time of turmoil through a commitment to Stewardship despite financial hardship.

Her testimony challenges us to live a life of stewardship. Thank you for returning your pledge forms for time and treasure.

If you have not returned your forms, please bring them to Mass or the parish office.

As Saint John Vianney Parish embarks on its annual stewardship campaign, we ask you to reflect on our 2011 campaign theme…Responding in Love.

There are many ways to respond to God’s great love for us. We can see the response to God’s love and presence in some by their commitment to liturgical participation; by others in their financial contributions to support the Parish, Archdiocese and outreach programs; and yet by others in their service via the large number of ministry opportunities available at St. John Vianney. Each of us has received God-given talents that we have the opportunity to present "first fruits" back as thanksgiving.

Recruitment and involvement in our ministries is an ongoing process throughout the year. With the restructuring of parish committees and implementation of a Common Leadership Night, committees and boards recruit for new members in late spring through a nomination process whereas other ministries recruit during winter, summer or fall - prior to their ministry's active time.

In November, the parish celebrates Commitment Sunday, the annual renewal for members to commit time, talent and treasure to the parish. Members pray and reflect on the gifts God has given and consider joining/rejoining at least one or more ministries. New parish members are invited to select a ministry to share their talents.

For more information about the ministries at St. John Vianney Parish, members and guests may contact the ministry leader of the ministry they are interested in or contact the Link Office at 262-796-3940.

The 2011 Annual Report is available online.
