“For, amen I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed… nothing shall be impossible to you.” [Matt 17:19] |
|
| |
| When Fr. Paul Lipscomb was appointed to be the first pastor of St. John Vianney in 1956, he planted a symbolic mustard seed on barren land near the corner of Calhoun and Gebhard Road. His vision allowed this mustard seed to grow and flourish into a vibrant faith community. |
| |
| In the spirit of Fr. Lipscomb, we extend an invitation to join a society committed to the mission of St. John Vianney. Your membership, through the stewardship of planned giving, will provide the parish and school a confidence for the future. |
| |
| Upon Fr. Lipscomb’s ending of his pastorate at St. John Vianney in 1979, he left us with these words, “Let us all rejoice in God’s manifold graces and blessings!” May we continue to foster his vision through this society. |

| “We must breathe into it a ‘soul’ by our community worship. Then, together, this new body and renewed spirit will be most pleasing in the eyes of God. May it move us to a new level of obedience to His will. May it increase in us a love of God in others. May our new spiritual life be an inspiration to our children’s children.” |
