National Eucharistic Revival - A Historic Outpouring of Grace
The 10th National Eucharistic Congress was a profound moment for the whole Church in the United States as our Catholic family united in prayer. 60,000 Catholics gathered in Indianapolis for this generational event, and countless more across the nation joined us via livestream. Those in attendance could not help but relight a torch of renewed passion for, discover a deeper understanding about, and rekindle a profound love of and deep faith in the Holy Eucharist at Holy Mass.
Eleven parishioners of SJV attended: Dave Baudry, Chris & Ann Evanich, Josefina Gardinier, Jeff & Karen Regner, Tim Rippinger, John Schlick, Andy Smith, Pat & Lynly Spiering plus Fr. Galante. Here is a tiny glimpse of what was experienced at Lucas Oil Stadium and the Convention Center in Indianapolis. -

SJV Attendees' FeedbackThe nuns just radiated love out to everyone. I loved the line from Father Mike’s talk, “Knowledge can make you great, but only love can make you a Saint.” Also, when we went out to the Eucharistic Procession, I noticed every so often a homeless person joining in and the people welcomed them into the fold. It was beautiful to see that. I know Jesus was smiling. - Lynly
I first heard the phrase "tabernacles with feet" at the Congress, referring to each of us that worthily receives the Eucharist. It certainly makes you think of others differently when you think of others as having Jesus in them. Another presenter said "We are just the instruments. God is the musician." So much great material! - John -

Each person was made for God and longs to live an extraordinary life. Jesus invites each of us into the adventure of an extraordinary life with him. Learn how to extend this invitation at My Parish Matters, a training offered through the Milwaukee Archdiocese on sharing the Gospel with people you care about and inviting them into your parish community.
